SANTA MONICA, CA – March 19, 2015 — Clearlake Capital Group (Clearlake), a leading special situations private equity firm, today announced a senior executive appointment and several promotions. Fred Ebrahemi has joined the firm as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Prashant Mehrotra has been named Partner, Colin Leonard and Arta Tabaee have been named Principals, and James Pade has been promoted to Vice President, all effective immediately.

Ebrahemi previously was the Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Platinum Equity Advisors, where he was responsible for the execution of private equity investments and divestitures, portfolio company oversight, special projects and the compliance function. Prior to that, he served as President and General Counsel for NINJA Mobile, and prior to that he was a corporate associate at Morrison & Foerster and at Hughes Hubbard & Reed. Ebrahemi graduated with a J.D./L.L.M. in International and Comparative Law from Duke University School of Law, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Ebrahemi is admitted to the bar in New York and California.
Mehrotra joined Clearlake in 2010. Prior to joining Clearlake, he was a Principal at Silver Lake Partners, where he focused on investments in technology and technology enabled industries. Before that, Mehrotra was a Principal at Tennenbaum Capital Partners. Prior to Tennenbaum, he worked in investment banking in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mehrotra currently serves as a director on several Clearlake portfolio boards including Heat Software, NetMotion and ConvergeOne. Mehrotra graduated with a B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, where he was also a Mayfield Fellow, and he received his M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Leonard joined Clearlake in 2007. Prior to Clearlake, he was an investment professional at HBK Investments L.P. where he focused on distressed investments in the industrials and transportation/logistics sectors. Leonard currently serves as a director on several Clearlake portfolio boards including Futuris Global, IronGate Energy, and Smart Sand. Leonard graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Economics (Wharton School) and a minor in Mathematics at the University of Pennsylvania.
Tabaee joined Clearlake in 2010. Prior to joining Clearlake, he was an investment professional at H.I.G. Capital, where he focused on leveraged buyout, distressed debt and other special situations investments, focusing on sectors including industrials, consumer & retail, and healthcare. Before that, Tabaee was a Senior Associate at TPG, focusing on investments in sectors including industrials, healthcare, business services and technology. Prior to TPG, he was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Morgan Stanley & Co. Tabaee currently serves as a director on several Clearlake portfolio boards including Amquip, Proven Brands and SWI. Tabaee graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in Spanish from Duke University. He received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
Pade joined Clearlake in 2013. Prior to joining Clearlake, he was an investment professional at TowerBrook Capital Partners, where he focused on leveraged buyouts and distressed debt investments. Before that, Pade was an investment banker at Credit Suisse. He started his career at Google and played professional tennis on the ATP Tour. Pade currently serves as a director on several Clearlake portfolio boards including ConvergeOne, PrimeSport and Tolt Solutions. He graduated with a B.A. in Economics, with Honors in Science, Technology & Society from Stanford University.
